Korean Culture - A Burning Mania

In recent years, Korean Culture comes into spotlight in Hong Kong. Everyone, especially the younger generation, have a liking for it. This can be proved by the advertisements around us which showing the movie stars, singers in Korea. Even, when we are walking in the supermarket, we can see lots of products using Korean idols' pictures as the cover to attract adolesences. Therefore, it is no doubt that Korean culture have taken over the local market.

In the following, I would like to elucidate how my friends and family are affected by the the Korean influences. To start with, my friends really think that everything about Korea is in vogue in Hong Kong. They love Korea stars, gossip about them and spend lots of money on the Korean products, such as CDs of pop idols or TV drama series. It is truly that celebrities and stars in Hong Kong are sadly ignored in compare with the Korean stars.
Also, if I do not familiar with the fashion or pop idols in Korea, I can't even speak a word when my friends are chattting. They are entusiam about fashion in Korea and wear clothes just like the Korean I see on TV ! Not arguing whether they look good or not in this style, thay are totally infatuation for this fad.

One memorable experience is that I saw thousands of fans waited for their Korean idols overnight at the airport in Hong Kong. Thay had large posters and carmeras in their hands. When the stars appeared, fans let out a squeal of delight. The craving for being a fan of Korean culture is a blind pursuit.

On the other hand, Korean culture made a great impact on my family members too. My mum loves Korean TV drama series much more than the local's. She said" I show much interest in watching Korean progammes and the culture is nowadays deepens in my mind." So, it's not exaggerated to say that Korean culture is rooted in most citizen's mind.
In conclusion, it seems the favourable impression on Koean may continue and last for a period of time.
